César Girón (Mexico, 1994) is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice brings together media such as photography, video, installation, and archival materials. His work draws from the psychogeography developed by the Situationists and reinterprets it through a contemporary approach to climate and territory, exploring how atmospheric conditions affect psychological, emotional, and existential experience.
Through walks and explorations of natural environments, Girón develops psychometeorological investigations that connect observation, memory, and the psyche.
As the son of biologists, his family history permeates his practice, revealing a particular relationship with nature situating it between scientific observation and the subjective experience of landscape. From this perspective, his work examines the ways in which we inhabit, perceive, and form relationships with the climate, geography, and ecosystems that surround us.
